What Happened at System Pavers?

According to a breach notice System Pavers sent to the Attorney General of California, sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been accessed and acquired by unauthorized individuals. According to the sample letter, on October 4, 2024, System Pavers discovered suspicious activity impacting systems within its network.

After an initial investigation to determine the nature and scope of the incident, System Pavers concluded that sensitive personal information in its systems may have indeed been viewed and copied by an unauthorized third party between September 20, 2024, and October 4, 2024. On March 3, 2025, the company started mailing data breach notification letters to individuals thought to be impacted.

System Pavers is a construction and outdoor design company operating out of Santa, Ana, California. The company designs and installs outdoor living systems for residential homes in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Colorado and Texas.

The specific kinds of personal information potentially exposed has not been made clear, however, according to state reporting guidelines, “personal information” can include the following:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license or state identification card number
  • Financial account number, credit card number or debit card number
  • Account passwords or personal identification numbers
