What Happened at CSG Consultants?
CSG Consultants announced that they were targeted in a cyberattack that resulted in a data breach in which sensitive personal identifiable information in its care may have been accessed and removed from their systems.
According to the breach notice on the company website, in August 2024, CSG identified suspicious network activity. CSG launched an investigation and concluded that sensitive personal information within these systems belonging to clients may have been compromised by an unauthorized third party. The type of information potentially exposed includes:

- Social Security number
- Address
- Date of birth
On March 20, 2025, CSG began sending out data breach notification letters to all impacted individuals. CSG is an engineering firm based in Foster City, California. They offer municipal services to public agencies, offering part-time and full-time staffing resources for building plan review and inspection, fire prevention, civil and structural design, development and map review, construction management, planning, code enforcement, sustainability program support, and information technology services.
