What Happened at YES! Communities?

On February 25, 2025, YES reported to the Attorney General of Texas an apparent data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information in its systems may have been accessed by an unauthorized third party. While an investigation is still underway, most details are not known about the data breach, but the company reported that the following types of information could have potentially been exposed:

  • Name
  • Social Security number
  • Address
  • Driver’s license number

On the company website, YES! Communities ensures the public that the company “secures Your Personal Information from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. YES! Communities secures the Personal Information You provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure. When Personal Information (such as a credit card number) is transmitted to other Web sites, it is protected through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol.  Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system is guaranteed to be 100% secure. If You believe that Your interaction with us is no longer secure, please immediately notify YES! Communities.”
