What Happened at INTERLINK Health?

On February 19, 2025, INTERLINK Health Services filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Massachusetts after discovering a company email account last year that was apparently subject to unauthorized access. In the notice the company sent out, INTERLINK explains that the data security incident resulted in an unauthorized individual accessing names and protected health information. Data breach notification letters are being sent out to all individuals whose information may have been compromised.

According to sources, on June 17, 2024, INTERLINK Health detected suspicious activity on an employee email account and started an initial investigation with the assistance of third-party cybersecurity experts. The team eventually concluded that an unauthorized party accessed certain confidential files on its network between June 15, 2024 and June 17, 2024.
