What Consumer Products Have Been Recalled Recently?

LINKCOO Window Shade Recall

Thousands of units of LINKCOO Blackout Roller Window Shades have been recalled due to a common child safety hazard with mini blinds and window shades with long cords. This particular product recall involves LINKCOO corded roller window shades sold in white, gray and black, and in sizes ranging between 10 and 75 inches wide and 79 inches high.

The recalled window shade units are in violation of the federal regulations because they have long operating cords that may cause death or serious injury to children, due to strangulation and entanglement hazards. Over 16,000 have been recalled.

GM Recalls Cars For Faulty Power Steering

Cadillac and Chevrolet are recalling hundreds of cars due to the possibility of losing power steering assist. The reportedly recalled models include the following:

  • 2017-2018 Cadillac ATS
  • 2016-2018 Cadillac CTS
  • 2017-2018 Chevrolet Camaro
  • 2017-2018 Chevrolet Corvette

GM tells the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that a circuit board inside the power steering assembly may have a connection problem. The company has noted 43 customer complaints related to the auto recall.

Bausch + Lomb Intraocular Lens Recall

Bausch + Lomb announced a voluntary recall Thursday of its enVista Aspire and enVista Envy lenses, and also some enVista monofocal lenses. The company allegedly received a number of reports of toxic anterior segment syndrome (TASS) caused by the lenses. TASS is an inflammatory reaction inside the eye that can have a variety of causes, but is also a potential complication in any cataract surgery.

Frito-Lay Issues Tostitos Recall

Frito-Lay issued a recall last week on its Tostitos-brand tortilla chips sold in Ohio, Kentucky and several other states over concerns that they may contain an undeclared allergen, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Frito-Lay recalled bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips on March 26, 2025 because they could include nacho cheese tortilla chips, which contain undeclared milk.

In other food recalls this week, Nestle recalled some Stouffers Lean Cuisine products due to the possible presence of “wood-like material” in the food. Lean Cuisine® Butternut Squash Ravioli, Lean Cuisine® Spinach Artichoke Ravioli, Lean Cuisine® Lemon Garlic Shrimp Stir Fry, and STOUFFER’S® Party Size Chicken Lasagna were recalled. A choking risk prompted the recall.

In a similar, concerning recall, Coca-Cola recalled some cans of  their orignal Coke formula because of plastic in the drinks.

Savage Pet Cat Food Recall

Savage Pet of El Cajon, California, is recalling 66 Large Chicken Boxes 84 oz. and 74 Small Chicken Boxes 21 oz. because they have the potential to contain H5N1. Several pet food recalls in recent months have been issued due to bird flu concerns. Savage Cat Food Large Chicken Boxes and Small Chicken Boxes were distributed in over a dozen states.
