College Hospital Costa Mesa (CHCM) has reported in a data privacy incident notice posted on their website, that on September 17, 2024, they learned of an incident that disrupted internal IT systems. After an investigation with the help of third-party forensic experts, CHCM concluded that a threat actor accessed files on their systems between August 14, 2024 and September 17, 2024.

On January 31, 2025, Costa Mesa determined the files contained sensitive personal and health information that could include the following: names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, date of services, diagnosis, or other information.
