What happened at Apex Global Solutions?

In July 2024, Apex Global discovered potentially suspicious activity on their IT network and launched an investigation with the help of third-party cybersecurity specialists.

The investigation determined that certain personal information stored on Apex computers may have been accessed or acquired between June 18, 2024 and July 2, 2024. The incident was later confirmed to be a ransomware attack claimed by a group known as Brain Cipher, who says have 2 TB of the organization’s data.

The information potentially compromised may contain individuals’ names together with some of the following: address, date of birth, driver’s license number, Social Security number, diagnosis/condition, health insurance information, claims information, patient ID, treatment information, provider name and/or financial account information.
