Investigating Metro Infectious Disease Consultant data breach claims
On June 24, 2021, Metro Infectious Disease Consultant (MIDC) learned that individuals’ personal data could have been accessed when an unauthorized third party gained access to employees’ email accounts. The data breach has been reported on the HHS site, and notes that over 171,000 individuals may be impacted.
At the moment, Metro Infectious Disease Consultant says its is not certain that the stolen personal information has been misused for the purpose of committing fraud or identity theft, but since the data has been compromised, victims are urged to take action.

- Clinical information
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license number
