The Lyon Firm is actively involved in personal privacy and healthcare data theft cases and is currently investigating Tenet Healthcare data breach claims on behalf of Texas plaintiffs.

Tenet Healthcare, out of Dallas, Texas, has announced that it is investigating a cybersecurity incident that occurred during the week of April 18. The health system consists of 60 hospitals and 550 outpatient centers.

Suspicions were raised when Tenet suspended user access to impacted IT applications soon after the incident. Tenet said it experienced disruptions to “acute care operations,” though the health system and its hospitals remain operational. It is early in the investigation, so the scope of the potentially leaked data and numbers of individuals impacted is not yet known.
