What Happened at TalentLaunch?
Very simply, a cybersecurity incident has resulted in the potential exposure of a large amount of customer data. Alliance Solutions Group, operating as TalentLaunch, is headquartered in Independence, Ohio, and has begun sending out data breach notification letters to 119,000 impacted individuals.
On February 2, 2024, Alliance Solutions Group, LLC dba TalentLaunch reported that it suffered a data breach. The company allegedly determined that between May 30, 2023, and May 31, 2023 they detected unauthorized access to their network. It is currently unclear if this attack is related to the MOVEit file transfer ransomware attack that occurred during a similar timeframe.

What Data was Leaked in the TalentLaunch Data Breach?
Alliance Solutions Group says the following sensitive confidential information could have been exposed to hackers:

- Biometric Information
- Financial Account Information
- Credit/Debit Card Number
In the days after the breach was identified, TalentLaunch began taking steps to secure the network and minimize the damage. The company hired cybersecurity professionals experienced in handling these types of data security incidents to conduct a full investigation and review the data potentially contained on the impacted servers.
The forensics team concluded that data potentially may have been accessed or removed by the unauthorized actor in May 2023. Nothing suggests that the compromised data has been used for any fraudulent purposes thus far, though that is always a possibility in these cases.
Currently, there is no evidence that the information involved has been used for identity theft or financial fraud. However, out of an abundance of caution, TalentLaunch is issuing notices to anyone whose information was contained in the impacted data and providing the individuals with information on how to best protect their identity.
