What Happened at Serviceaide?

Serviceaide has reported a potential breach the Attorney General of Vermont, noting that certain sensitive personal identifiable information (PII) and protected health information (PHI) in its possession may have been compromised.

According to the sample breach notice sent to impacted individuals, in November 2024, Serviceaide learned that information stored within its Catholic Health Elasticsearch database was accessed and made publicly available.

A thorough investigation concluded that sensitive personal information belonging to Catholic Health patients was publicly available between September 19 and November 5, 2024. Serviceaide later reviewed the incident to determine what data and which individuals had been impacted. The types of information potentially exposed includes:
