What Happened at Rumpke Waste & Recycling?

According to Halcyon, a website that reports on cyberattacks, Rumpke was targeted by Hunters International in an October 2024 ransomware attack. The report claims that Hunters stole as much as 3.3 terabytes of data.

Rumpke reported to the state Attorney General of Maine that over 16,900 individuals may have had their personal information compromised. The data at risk may include the following:
