Sports Injury: NCAA Concussion Lawsuit Consolidated
Brain Injury Lawyer reviewing Ohio Sports Injury Lawsuits as more and more athletes suffer serious head and neck injuries like concussions and CTE
Ohio Sports injury lawsuits are becoming more and more common. Defective helmets do nothing to alleviate the problem. In recent years, pressure has mounted against helmet manufacturers, and Football Head Injuries have been filed in numerous states following severe head trauma injuries like concussions and CTE.
Sport can open doors: to health and self-respect, to a college scholarship, even to wealth and fame. But there is increasing public concern about the risks of concussions—commonly defined as “a complex pathophysiological process affecting the brain, induced by biomechanical forces.”
According to a recent article in USA Today, a judge from the federal court in the Northern District of Illinois has consolidated nearly a dozen concussion-related lawsuits. The first plaintiff, Adrain Arrington, has suffered ongoing and intensive health issues since playing college football. Many others have been diagnosed with CTE and have reported countless concussions, which could lead to severe health implications in the future.
