What happened at Legends?

On November 9, 2024, company officials detected unauthorized activity on the IT systems at Legends. The company took some systems offline and hired cybersecurity experts to help with an investigation into the matter.

The investigation later confirmed that certain files were indeed accessed and acquired by an unauthorized party during the data breach. These files contained the following types of sensitive personal information:

Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, government-issued ID numbers (such as passports or state ID cards), financial account details (including credit or debit card numbers), medical information, health insurance information, and dates of birth.

At the time of writing, the Legends data breach was still being investigated, and more details should be available on any data breach notification letter sent to an impacted individual.
