What Happened at Good Neighbors?

According to a data breach notice posted on the company website, in December 2024, Good Neighbors Federal Credit Union (GNFCU) experienced unauthorized access to their IT network. They launched an investigation with external cybersecurity professionals and later determined that on April 4, 2025, some personal information stored on their network may have been accessed and/or acquired by an unauthorized individual. Over 18,000 may be impacted by this incident.

The compromised personal information may have included the following: Social Security number, driver’s license number, financial information, bank account numbers, credit card or debit card numbers, medical information and health insurance information.
