What Happened at FlexCare?
On March 5, 2025, FlexCare filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Vermont after concluding that an unauthorized party may have accessed an employee’s email account, possibly viewing consumers’ sensitive information. After an initial investigation, FlexCare started sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals who may be impacted. The notification letters should provide victims with a list of breached information.
This breach was only recently announced, and more details are expected to emerge in the coming weeks. As of writing, we do know that on October 9, 2024, FlexCare detected suspicious activity and later determined that consumer data may have been exposed.
FlexCare, LLC is a digital health provider offering telemedicine, teledentistry, behavioral health, dermatology, and virtual primary care services. The company also operates FlexCare Medical Staffing, a healthcare staffing agency specializing in travel nursing, therapy, and allied healthcare placements. FlexCare confirmed that sensitive personal information could be at risk, including the following:
- Name
- Social Security number
- Driver’s license
