In June 2022, Fitzgibbon Hospital detected unauthorized access within their IT network and launched an investigation. It was later concluded that some patients’ identifiable and/or protected health information may have been accessed and acquired in connection with the hospital security incident. The compromised information may include the following:

- Social Security numbers
- Driver’s license numbers
- Financial account numbers
- Health insurance information
- Medical information
The HHS site is reporting that over 112,000 individuals may have their personal data at risk.
