Vornado Space Heater Recall
Around 7,780 Vornado space heaters, originally sold on Amazon, have been recalled due to concerns over potential “electric shock and fire hazards,” according to Vornado. The safety issue with the recalled units, V2 Whole Room Heaters, is due to possibly defective power cords, according to a recall notice issued last week.
The company recall statement reads, “In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), Vornado is voluntarily recalling certain VH2 Whole Room Heater units because the power cord can partially detach from the enclosure, which can lead to cord damage over time, posing electric shock and fire hazards.”
Honda Emergency Brake Recall
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Monday it is actively probing a safety issue with about 295,000 Honda vehicles in the U.S. over reports of crashes and injuries due to the vehicles’ automatic emergency braking systems malfunctioning. According to the reports, the automatic emergency braking system has been triggering inadvertently, increasing the risk of a collision due to rapid deceleration. The issue allegedly affects the 2019-2022 models of the Honda Insight and the Honda Passport SUV.
Polaris Ranger ROV Recall
Ford Defective Battery Recall
Ford is recalling almost 273,000 vehicles for a suspected 12-volt battery defect that can allegedly cause the vehicles to lose drive power during operation. The Ford recall covers Ford Bronco Sports from model years 2021-2023, and Ford Maverick pickups from model year 2022 and 2023.
According to company documents submitted to the NHTSA, a manufacturing defect can cause the batteries to degrade while driving, leading to a loss of power to hazard lights or other safety accessories.
Horizon Milk Recall
In December 2024, the U.S. Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) initiated a recall for Horizon Organic Milk, and on January 14, 2025, the FDA reclassified the recall as Class II, which clarifies the situation where “exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.” The Horizon Milk recall concerns four lots of shelf-stable Horizon Organic Aseptic Plain Whole Milk with an apparent potential for premature product spoilage.
