WHAT HAPPENED?
In December 2021, Community Loan Servicing became aware of suspicious activity on company servers and a subsequent investigation determined an unauthorized actor gained access to company storage servers between October 27, 2021, and December 7, 2021.
Unfortunately for clients and individuals impacted, the company waited approximately eight months and only began notifying individuals on August 19, 2022. The unauthorized actor had access to the hacked files for nearly a year.
