Community Health Systems (CHS), out of Franklin, Tennessee, has been notified by Fortra, a third party vendor, that Fortra experienced an IT security incident that resulted in the unauthorized disclosure of personal data. Reports note that over 962,000 Community Health Systems patients may be impacted.

Fortra is a cybersecurity firm that provides a file transfer software called GoAnywhere. The Fortra security breach may have leaked the Protected Health Information (PHI) of many CHS patients.
