Atomi Smart Heater Recall Investigation | Burn Injury Lawsuits
Portable heaters have never been the safest home appliances, and dozens of different brands and models have been recalled over the years. You might think that the companies producing these devices would have taken note, and started to manufacture safer products. Yet there are still frequent home heater product recalls. This week, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the agency that oversees many of the nation’s product safety recalls, announced a recall of almost 100,000 units of Atomi Smart Heaters.
Why did Atomi recall their Smart Heaters?
According to reports, several models of Atomi Smart Heaters may accidentally turn on, posing obvious fire and burn hazards for consumers. On July 11, 2024, the company recalled 99,400 heater units in North America, and consumers are eligible for a full refund at the point of purchase. The heaters were sold at Amazon, Ace Hardware, Atomiusa.com, Best Buy, BJʼs Wholesale Club, Costco, Hammacher Schlemmer, Home Depot, Lowes.com, Menards, Sam’s Club, and Walmart stores.
Which Smart Heater Models were recalled?
The smart heater recall involves Smart Heaters with the following model numbers:
