WHAT HAPPENED?

In early June 2021, Afni discovered unusual activity on its computer network and launched an investigation with third-party cybersecurity experts. It was determined that threat actors may have gained access to certain Afni systems, viewed and possibly stolen data.

Not until June 2022 did Afni finalize their review and begin notifying potentially impacted individuals.

Afni, which has a consumer collections agency, is now a global business process outsourcing firm employing over 10,000 employees. Its customer services include call centers in the U.S. and the Philippines.
