Texas-based AccelHealth Cross Timbers Health Clinics allegedly suffered a ransomware attack in December 2021, resulting in a potential data theft incident. An investigation confirmed that access to the AccelHealth database lasted six days, and that hackers may have stolen files containing patient information. A review of the patient files revealed they contained the protected health information of 48,126 patients, including the following:
