Clint is Of Counsel with The Lyon Firm and has litigated cases in federal and state courts throughout the country. He focuses his practice on mass tort and product liability, insurance coverage disputes, commercial litigation, and data breach cases relating to the disclosure of customers’ personal identifying information, including names, social security numbers, dates of birth, and financial and payment information. Before cases reach litigation, Clint has significant experience analyzing coverage obligations under commercial general liability policies, excess and umbrella policies, business auto policies, travel insurance policies, as well as policies regarding coverage for UM/UIM and has obtained coverage for his clients through demand letters to insurers seeking that they honor their contractual obligations.

Case No. 0:21-cv-02560-ECT-DTS (D. Minn.) (defeated motion to dismiss for COVID tuition reimbursement claim by nursing students whose labs and practicum were reduced)
Case No. 18 CV H 07 0394, Ohio Court of Common Pleas, Delaware County (obtained summary judgment that general contractor was not entitled to coverage under subcontractor’s commercial general liability policy for liability arising from construction defect)
Case No. 19 CV 00278, Ohio Court of Common Pleas, Franklin County (obtained summary judgment that general contractor was not entitled to coverage as an additional insured from subcontractor’s insurer for liability arising from construction defect)
Case No. CV-17-881029, Ohio Court of Common Pleas, Cuyahoga County (obtained summary judgment that general contractor was entitled to coverage as an additional insured under commercial general liability policy issued to joint venture where liability arose from personal injury during construction operations to joint venture’s employee)
Case No. 3:17-CV-01401 (S.D. Cal.) (obtained summary judgment that an insurer’s defense based on “loss in progress” or “continuous injury” exclusion did not apply to preclude coverage)
Case No. 1:11-CV-00319 (S.D. OH) (litigated estate of decedent’s claim for life insurance benefits involving motorcycle accident)
Case No. 1:20-CV-02844 (N.D. OH) (litigated claim for travel policy benefits following trip cancellation)
Case No. 3:13-CV-03124 (N.D. CA) (litigated whether insured was entitled to coverage for underlying construction defect issue in high-end apartment building)
