The Lyon Firm is reviewing new reports that over 539,000 individuals may have been impacted in the recent Forever 21 – F21 OpCo data breach. 

According to a published notification letter submitted by their counsel to the Maine Attorney General’s Office, on March 20, 2023, Forever 21 identified “a cyber incident that impacted a limited number of systems.”

An investigation determined that an unauthorized third party accessed F21 systems between January 5, 2023 and March 21, 2023. The notification does not explain how the unauthorized individual gained access.

The leaked files contain the personal and protected health information of employees who were enrolled in the F21 health plan, such as their name, Social Security number, date of birth, bank account number, and information regarding their health plan.
