What happened at ZeroedIn?

On August 8, 2023, ZeroedIn allegedly discovered suspicious activity and began the initial data security investigation. It was concluded that an unauthorized actor gained access to certain systems between August 7, 2023, and August 8, 2023. It is not clear if the files that were accessed were stolen by the hackers, though that is always a distinct possibility in such IT security events.

On November 27, 2023, ZeroedIn Technologies, LLC, filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Maine, noting that over 1.9 million individuals may have had their data leaked. ZeroedIn noted that the data theft incident affected Dollar Tree & Family Dollar, one of the company’s customers.
