The Lyon Firm, currently involved in some of the largest data privacy events in the last five years, is investigating EP Global Production Solutions data breach claims after the company announced a data security incident that may have impacted over 471,000 individuals.

On June 30, 2023, Entertainment Partners (EP Global) discovered that it had experienced a data breach in which the sensitive personal identifiable information (PII) in its systems may have been accessed and stolen. According to reports, hundreds of thousands of people may now be at risk of identity theft and fraud.

After an investigation, Entertainment Partners concluded that an unauthorized actor may have obtained a trove of sensitive personal data. On August 2, 2023, Entertainment Partners began sending out data breach notification letters and contacting individuals whose information may have been compromised. The type of information exposed may include the following:

  • Names
  • Social Security numbers
  • Addresses
  • Tax identification numbers
