The HHS is reporting that as many as 244,850 individuals may have had their personal information compromised after a data security incident involving Cytometry Specialists (CSI Laboratories).

According to a security incident notice on the company’s website, in February 2022, Cytometry Specialists Labs discovered a cyberattack. Following an investigation, on February 25, 2022, Cytometry Labs confirmed that an unauthorized party obtained files from the company’s network, which may have included the following:

Address
Medical record number
Health insurance information

Cytometry Specialists stated it will send out data breach notification letters to all impacted individuals in the data security incident. Cytometry Specialists, Inc., founded in 1998, is a cancer testing lab based in Alpharetta, Georgia. The company operates under the name Cytometry Laboratories or CSI Labs, and performs a range of cancer diagnostic tests including genetics, histology, and molecular diagnostics.
