What Happened at CINQ CARE?

An investigation if still ongoing, but some details are beginning to emerge. On January 4, 2023, CINQ CARE filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Massachusetts and said it had discovered a “cybersecurity incident” that may have compromised patient information that was stored on the company’s computer network.

CINQCARE reports that the incident resulted in the unauthorized party being able to access a large amount of sensitive information. CINQ CARE has begun sending out data breach notification letters to all individuals whose information was impacted. If you receive a letter in the post, it is important to take measures to protect yourself from fraud and identity theft.

Call our legal team to discuss filing a class action claim. We believe any entity that collects and stores our data has a duty to protect it with strong network security systems. If any company fails to do so, they may be held liable for their negligence.

CINQCARE explains the leaked data is linked to their acquisition of Greater Buffalo United Accountable Healthcare Network, which includes Greater Buffalo United Accountable Healthcare Network MSO, LLC; Greater Buffalo United IPA, Inc.; and Greater Buffalo United Accountable Care Organization LLC. Obtained data may also be related to dealings with Urban Family Practice P.C.
