What Happened at Blue & Company?

On February 7, 2025, Blue & Co., LLC filed a notice of data breach with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights after discovering that certain information in the company’s possession was subject to unauthorized access. In their notice, Blue explained that the data security incident resulted in an unauthorized party accessing consumers’ sensitive information. Blue & Co. announced a “hacking / IT incident” involving a network server, ostensibly either involving Blue’s systems or the servers of a third-party vendor.

After an initial investigation, Blue started sending out notification letters to all individuals whose information may have been impacted by the breach. It is currently unknown what data may have been leaked, and more information regarding the incident is expected to be published in the coming weeks.
