What happened at Alpha Supported Living Services?

On January 12, 2024, Alpha Supported Living Services filed a notice of data breach with the Attorney General of Massachusetts. The organization concluded that a phishing attack incident resulted in an unauthorized party being able to access some patients’ sensitive information, which includes names, Social Security numbers and health information.

An investigation is ongoing, and more details will soon emerge. What we know now is that an unauthorized party was able to access an internal email account with consumer information located in various emails and attachments within the email account.
