Contaminated drugs may be recalled after they have already caused damage and injured patients, and typically because pharmaceutical companies fail to properly test their product before released to the public.

Following injuries, companies may be held liable for injuries in valsartan recall lawsuits and other drug recall lawsuits. Drug manufacturers have a responsibility test and protect consumers, and should they fail, they may face personal injury and product liability claims.
