In September 2023, Amerita, a subsidiary of PharMerica, filed a data breach notice with the Attorney General of Texas and HHS after discovering that an unauthorized party was able to access sensitive personal data from the company’s IT network.

Amerita has concluded that the incident resulted in a possible leak of a vast amount of consumers’ sensitive information, including their names, addresses and health information. Amerita has begun sending out data breach notification letters to all impacted individuals, and explains all the details that is currently known.
