Vaping Death Lawsuits Filed by Ohio Juul Injury Lawyer

Product Liability attorneys and consumer protection lawyers are investigating vaping death lawsuits and Juul addiction cases on behalf of plaintiffs nationwide

An Illinois patient reportedly succumbed to the first vaping death related to an unknown lung illness. The vaping death occurred after public health officials have been tallying dozens of vaping-related sicknesses and severe lung diseases in numerous states. Around 200 cases of serious respiratory illness related to vaping devices and e-cigarettes have been seen around the country. A new plague of Juul addiction lawsuits and vaping injury have swept the nation.

Health experts and state investigators have not found a common link in the injuries and the singular vaping death, though each patient vaped either nicotine or THC before being admitted to hospitals. Officials don’t know the direct cause, though vaping toxins and contaminated vape liquids are suspected.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have expressed concern over the level of vaping use, Juul addiction and e-cigarette hazards. The report notes the victim of the vaping death had vaped recently and succumbed to a severe respiratory illness. Other patients have described difficulty breathing, chest pain, vomiting and fatigue. Those with extensive lung damage have required treatment with oxygen and ventilators. Permanent lung damage is feared for other victims of vaping injuries.

Vaping Death Lawsuits & Juul Addiction

Attorneys involved in vaping injury cases and Juul addiction lawsuits allege that vape device and e-cig use has led to severe addiction and health hazards among the youth and older users. The amount of nicotine in vaping devices can be far more than traditional cigarettes, though some e-cig users assume there is far less.

Public health officials are calling Juul addiction and vaping injuries an epidemic, with many of the users being teens and young consumers. Vaporize nicotine and other inhalants may cause serious lung damage, though because they are relatively new, the long-term health implications are unknown. Some vaping liquids contain heavy metals, ultrafine particulates, toxic flavorings, and a huge amount of nicotine. At least one doctor has said the lung injuries related to vaping injury are consistent with chemical inhalation injuries.

Public health officials were focusing on stopping youths from vaping Juul products and other e-cigarettes, though cannabis liquids and oils have become almost as widely available. The e-cig market is largely unregulated and dangerous products may be widespread. E-cig companies like Juul have taken no responsibility or made comments related to the Illinois vaping death.

Reports of a recent vaping death and e-cig injuries have concerned health officials.
