Product Liability lawyer and Auto recall attorney reviewing Eldorado defective seat back recalls and personal injury lawsuits for plaintiffs nationwide
On December 18, 2018, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recalled certain Eldorado National vehicles as the seat backs in some models may not remain upright. In the event of a crash, the seat occupant has an increased risk of serious injury. The recall includes 2017-2018 Arrivo, EZR Max BRT and Passport buses.
When the seat back cushion is rotated from the stowed position to the upright position, the seat may not remain locked into place in the event of a collision or sudden stop. The recall is issued as the Eldorado vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) “Seating Systems” standards.
Eldorado National California has warned owners and dealers, and have offered to inspect and repair the defective seat backs. For more information, owners can contact a product liability attorney and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.safercar.gov.
