What Happened at Onsite Mammography?
Onsite Mammography, operating out of Westfield, Massachusetts, recently announced a security incident that has allegedly involving the protected health information of 357,265 individuals. Suspicious activity was reportedly identified in an employee’s email account in October 2024, which spurred an investigation into the matter.
A digital forensics team later confirmed unauthorized access to an email account in which health-related information may have been viewed and acquired. The type of personal and health data potentially leaked is not entirely known, but could include names, medical records, financial information and Social Security numbers or ID numbers.
